At HyperTribe Ltd (“HyperTribe”, “we,” and “us”) service is our number one priority, and we respect the privacy of our users (“you”). We have developed this privacy policy to demonstrate our commitment to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy describes the information we collect, how that information may be used, with whom it may be shared, and your choices about such uses and disclosures. We encourage you to read this privacy policy carefully when using our application, services or when working with us.
We use your data to provide and improve our service. By using our website and application (our “service”), and you are accepting the practices described in this privacy policy. If you have any questions about our privacy practices, please refer to the end of this privacy policy for information on how to contact us. Unless otherwise defined in this privacy policy, terms used in this privacy policy have the same meanings as in our terms and conditions.
Information we collect about you
We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.
In short: We collect a combination of personal data and usage data (how you use the Service). This includes personally identifiable information such as your name, e-mail address and internet protocol. We also collect information that can be used for advertising purposes, although this information is anonymised, and is not personally identifiable to you as an individual. Methods of collecting data, include tracking cookies, usage data (while you use the service) and pixel data.
Types of Data collect
Personal Data
Whilst using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Data”). When you provide personal information through our Service, the information may be sent to servers located in the United Kingdom, and countries around the world. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
- Email Address
- First Name & Last Name
- Phone Number
- Cookies and Usage Data
- Spotify listening data
In order to register as a user with HyperTribe, you may be asked to sign in using your Spotify login. If you do so, you authorize us to access certain Spotify account information, such as your public Spotify profile (consistent with your privacy settings in Spotify), your email address, music interests, likes, gender, birthday, current city, previously visited events and locations, and information about your activity on Spotify. You will also be asked to allow HyperTribe to collect your location information from your device when you download or use the Service.
Usage Data
In addition, we may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device (“Usage Data”). This usage data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. I.P. address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time spend on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When you access the Service through a mobile device, this data may include information such as the type of mobile data you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers, your mobile device’s geographic location while our application is actively running, and other diagnostic data.
Tracking Cookies Data
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity of our Service and hold certain information.
Cookies are files with small amounts of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. When you visit our Service, we may assign your device one or more cookies to facilitate access to our Service and to personalise your experience. Through the use of a cookie, we also may automatically collect information about your activity on our Service, such as the pages you visit, the time and date of your visits and the links you click. If we advertise, we (or third parties) may use certain data collected on our Service to show you HyperTribe advertisements on other sites or applications.
Pixel tags. We embed pixel tags (also called web beacons or clear GIFs) on web pages, ads, and emails. These tiny, invisible graphics are used to access cookies and track user activities (such as how many times a page is viewed). We use pixel tags to measure the popularity of our features and Services. Ad companies also use pixel tags to measure the number of ads displayed and their performance (such as how many people clicked on an ad).
Information collected by third-parties for advertising purposes. We may allow Service providers, advertising companies and ad networks, and other third parties to display advertisements on our Service. These companies may use tracking technologies, such as cookies or web beacons, to collect information about users who view or interact with their advertisements. We do not provide any non-anonymised personal information to third parties, and try to ensure that all partners are also GDPR compliant.
How we use the information we collect
In short: The data we collect is used so that we can constantly improve the service, and give every user the best experience possible. We use the data to personalise content to our users, as well as analyse the way in which our users are using the Service. We also use the data so that we’re quickly able to identify any problems with the service. It should also be pointed out, that if you apply for a job with HyperTribe, we may store your data in the short term while making a decision on your application, but this data will be removed once a decision has been made.
In general, we use the information that we collect about you for various purposes including:
- to provide and maintain the Service
- to notify you about any changes to the Services
- to allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so
- to provide customer care and support
- to provide analysis or valuable information so that we can continue to improve the Service
- to monitor the usage of the Service through analytics
- to detect, prevent and address technical issues, hence improving the Service
- to personalise the content delivered to you through the product
When applying for a job at HyperTribe, we will use the information provided solely in connection with considering and acting upon your application. We will remove any information stored about you as soon as the decision regarding your application has been made. Information provided will also be held from anyone within the company, except those making a decision. This information may include your name and contact information, prior education and experience, and any other information you provide to us.
Transfer of Data
In short: The data that you share with us, will be processed inside the United Kingdom, and may therefore travel to servers outside of the country that you live in. We take all steps necessary to make sure that your data is protected while it is being transferred to our servers. By using the service, you are aware that we process our data in the United Kingdom.
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to – and maintained on – servers located outside of your county/state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.
If you are located outside of the United Kingdom and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to the United Kingdom where it is processed.
You consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.
HyperTribe takes all reasonably necessary steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or country unless there are adequate controls in place, including the security of your data and other personal information.
Disclosure of Data
In Short: When you use HyperTribe, your public data such as profile photo, name and bio may be visible to other members. However, we do not share your personal data outside of the service, unless we are issued with a warrant or similar investigative demand or court order. We believe that the protection and non-disclosure of your data is paramount, so will not share data unless we believe that the safety of the public is at risk. We may however, share non-personal and anonymised information collected, in order to improve the service of both, our partners and our own Service. We also take the protection of data seriously, and have preventative methods and counter-measures to prevent any data breach where possible. You should however take care when clicking on any third-party website within the application, as we’re not able to track their compliance with data protection.
When you register as a user of HyperTribe, your HyperTribe profile will be viewable by other users of the Service. Information viewable by other users of the Service may include your profile photo, your name, and your bio.
HyperTribe may disclose your Personal Data on the issuance of a warrant or similar investigative demand, a court order or a request for cooperation from a law enforcement or another government agency:
- to comply with a legal obligation
- to protect and defend the rights or property of HyperTribe
- to prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
- to protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public
- to protect against legal liability
We do not share your personal information with others except as indicated in this Privacy Policy or when we inform you and give you an opportunity to opt out of having your personal information shared.
We may use and share non-personal/anonymised information we collect under any of the above circumstances. We may also share it with other third parties to develop and deliver targeted advertising on our Service and on websites or applications of third parties, and to analyse and report on advertising you see. We may combine non-personal information we collect with additional non-personal information collected from other sources. We also may share aggregated, non-personal information, or personal information in hashed, non-human readable form, with third parties, including advisors, advertisers and investors, for conducting general business analysis or other business purposes.
Security of Personal Data
The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic service is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We carry out regular reviews on security policies to prevent where possible, any possibility of a data breach.
Service Providers
We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service (“Service Providers”), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
These third-parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf, and are obligated not to disclose or use It for any other purpose. We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyse the use of our service.
Links to Other Sites
Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site or service. We strongly advise that you review the Privacy Policy of these sites in this case.
While we hope that these third-parties will remain compliant and have the interests of their users as a key priority, we have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
Children's Privacy
In Short: We don’t knowingly collect any data of those under the age of 18. If you find that we have collected this data, please contact us, as we will remove it immediately.
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”).
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children have provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
How you can access your information
In Short: You can access the information that we have collected about you within the Service. If you close your account, we will remove your information, but will retain some information for analytical use. It will also mean that you can restart your Service uninterrupted at a later date.
If you have a HyperTribe account, you can review and update your personal information within the Service by navigating through the Service to the settings. More information about how to contact us is provided below. You may also close your account at any time by visiting the “Settings” page for your account. If you close your account at any time. We will retain certain information associated with your account for analytical purposes and record-keeping integrity, as well as to prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Use, take actions we deem necessary to protect the integrity of our Service or our users, or take other actions otherwise permitted by law. In addition, if certain information has already been provided to third parties as described in this Privacy Policy, retention of that information will be subject to those third parties’ policies.
No Rights of Third Parties
This Privacy Policy does not create rights enforceable by third parties or require disclosure of any personal information relating to users of the website.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We will occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the law, our data collection and use practices, the features of our Service, or advances in technology. When we post changes to this Privacy Policy, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy, which will be posted on the Services under “Settings” and you should regularly check for the most recent version, which is the version that applies. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you of the changes by reasonable means, which could include notifications through the Services or via email. Please review the changes carefully. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of changes to this policy will mean you consent to and accept those changes. We may use your data for research and development purposes to improve and innovate our services, including training our AI systems and enhancing platform functionality. This may involve anonymised or aggregated data related to your activity on the platform, such as usage patterns and engagement metrics. Personal data will only be used in anonymised form where possible, and we take appropriate measures to ensure the security and privacy of your data.
